  Approach: I read this variable from original abl files using matlab and simply averaged 15-day (half monthly) data to get monthly data. I also interpolated data from 1/12 (0.0833) degree into 0.5 degree and saved the data in NetCDF format.

  General information: This product was derived from half monthly AVHRR BU leaf area index from Boston University.
