CESM1(CAM5) TimeSlice Ensemble Project

The CCP is conducting an ensemble of PD and RCP8.5 AMIP simulations using a 1/4 degree (ne120) version of CESM-CAM5. These runs are being conducted on Mira, an IBM Blue Gene/Q system, at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility. Ensemble members simulate the present day (1979 to 2012) and RCP8.5 future scenarios (2070-2099). Ensemble spread is generated using round-off differences in the initial atmospheric state. Monthly, daily, and 6-hourly outputs are being saved and archived as single variable timeseries.
